newlyweds...kind of.

people often tell me that i must only know beautiful people.  one might think "that's impossible!  how can she only know beautiful people?".  well, i'm about to confirm it.   i have the most beautiful clients in the world.  here's proof:
these dear friends actually got married nearly three years ago.  it had been a super cold day in december and they weren't able to get many pictures, so they asked me if they could dress up in their wedding clothes and do a shoot with them.  i HIGHLY recommend this to brides and grooms everywhere!  even if it's only a day after your wedding, it's so nice to do pictures on a day other than THE day.  not all pictures, but some.  it's much more relaxed and can actually be fun.  not having to worry about the time, sore cheeks from smiling too much, bad weather....imagine that.
we actually got accosted by some dutch tourists during the shot above...they wanted to bring congratulations from holland for the lovely couple.
my clients are also funny.  mildly disgusting, but funny.
and talented.  all my clients are talented.  we were in this field with the frame shooting the other direction and jenn was like "hey, what if we had the church in the background".  no big deal...it just BLEW MY MIND!

b&a - part two

they were a little self-conscious to start, but by the end of our time together we were having so much fun...their chemistry is amazing!

b&a - part one

we were privileged enough to be at anthony and bev's impromptu beach wedding last summer.  it was tuesday.  the conversation went something like this...
anthony: "hey cliff, so i know we were going to hang out on thursday night with you and sharalee and we still want to, we just thought maybe you could marry us as well".
cliff: "uh, okay.  as long as your dad says it's okay"
and the rest is history.  it was cliff's first time officiating and it was a beautiful, family only affair.

so here we are a year later and i get a message from bev that goes something like this...
bev: "so i have this dress that i was supposed to wear for our wedding last year.  do you think we could do some pictures in it?"
me: "how about tomorrow night?"

impromptu.  that's just kind of how we roll.

a fresh start

look closely...you may catch a few shocked expressions (likely the result of a comment about the bride's physique), hysterical laughter (likely the result of the occasional butt grab) and the groom's black eye (definitely the result of a pre-wedding wrestle with his adult son) and it will give you a glimpse into the absolute riot this wedding was.  what you don't have to look very closely for is the love they clearly share, not only for one another, but for their family, friends and the God they serve.  what a sweet day and what a blessed marriage!

i could do a whole post on this little girl alone...in fact, i think i will.
